Proprietary Vs Standard

Making the switch from your current air/water syringe tip to Crystal Tip should be an informed decision. One of the most important factors is how your current tip forced you to install a proprietary adapter. We have compiled a comprehensive list of features to help you understand what tip you are currently using and why switching to Crystal Tip will not only save you money, but be easy to do yourself. No service tech, no high-pressure sales person. AND NO PROPRIETARY ADAPTER! Below you will find even more reasons to use Crystal Tip.

Proprietary Vs Standard
Standard DCI Syringe -- It's the way it should be used!   Proprietary Adapters -- They Limit Your Choices!

Proprietary limits your options, choices, freedom and flexibility. Most people don't like that. What if a basic home appliance, such as your toaster, accepted only rye bread cut into triangles? That would be extremely restrictive; most businesses try to stay away from restrictive product platforms! Proprietary tips are NOT interchangeable with any other tip, they require special parts to work properly, and there are usually hidden costs. Here are some basic considerations to think about: What if you need a sterilized tip for surgery? What if you run out of tips and need a quick substitute? What if your supplier stops carrying that particular tip? What if you switch to a new supplier that doesn't carry that proprietary tip? What if the tip manufacturer decides to raise prices because they think they have customers locked into their proprietary system? What if the tip becomes obsolete? Changing the tip retainer assembly might also void your warranty. In addition, many service technicians are not as familiar with proprietary systems as they are with standard syringe configurations, making service more difficult. These are all important considerations when selecting the best disposable air/water syringe tip. But there's even more: Proprietary usually costs more. The adapters often cost more than $20 for EACH syringe - OUCH! It can also be quite confusing trying to determine which proprietary adapter is needed for the mix of different syringes found in most practices. Even trying a sample becomes an obstacle because you'll need to install their proprietary adapter before you can even test the tips. Then find extra time in a busy day to remove the existing tip retainer and replace it with the proprietary system. A lot of systems start off working great, but when the adapter/tip connection starts to fail, dentists get frustrated with air channels filling with water, leakage starts, and the doctor ends up going to back to metal. Sounds like a lot of trouble when you consider there are better alternatives available. There’s CRYSTAL TIP!
