WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS TIP?

  • Plastic contains PHT and DEHP hazardous chemicals.
  • Water leaks.
  • Weak bonding due to moisture crossover.
  • Adapter is poorly designed for asepsis.
  • Adapter parts break.
Seal-Tight® users have developed the bad habit of clearing moisture crossover on their pants, patient bib, floor, mirror, etc. This annoying problem originates in the flawed design of the tip and adapter. The tip is lacking a connection point for an o-ring. A pliable, flexible o-ring is essential to creating a reliable water seal inside your syringe. Seal-Tight® claims to provide a new o-ring inside every tip which is untrue and misleading. Although Seal-Tight® is made from slightly softer material on the inside of the tip, it does not offer the same sealing properties of an o-ring. The Seal-Tight® adapter also needs close attention or the tips can be seated improperly. The Seal-Tight® adapter is prone to failure and contamination due to the collar design.
